Animated correspondences : a writing competition where your words come to life
In the framework of 2026, Year of Sévigné, the Department of Drôme proposes a writing competition in libraries and media libraries in Drôme. A writing room will be offered in the departmental media libraries in Crest, Die, Nyons and Saint-Vallier as well as at the Ideal Palace of the Factor Cheval in Hauterives.
Participants are invited to write a letter to a loved one, inspired by one of the 19 photographs from the Departmental Archives. This correspondence should evoke a personal or imaginary memory linked to the Drôme heritage. This letter must be deposited online on this site between Monday, March 2nd at 9am and Monday, March 30th at 12pm.
Three laureates will be named by a jury. Each laureate letter (and the photographs that inspired it) will be adapted into an animation film, lasting 1 to 1.5 minutes.
